Gray Serves as President

Toyya Brawley Gray serves as the Foundation's President. Gray is a sole practitioner with a practice emphasizing serious personal injury and worker’s compensation. Immediately prior to opening her own office, Gray was a founding partner in another law firm where she practiced for 5 ½ years, serving as managing partner for a portion of that time. Before that, she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Office of the South Carolina Attorney General. Gray is a 1996 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was inducted into the Moot Court Bar, and was first in the Order of Barristers. Gray was also captain of the National Moot Court Team and a member of the John Belton O’Neal Inn of Court. Gray received her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, from the University of South Carolina in 1989. Gray is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the SC Association for Justice, the Richland County Bar Association and the Columbia Lawyers Association. Gray took office on July 1.
